I never thought I would find myself working as the front desk receptionist at an MMA gym. I must say, I had no exposure to any of this before I walked through the door for my interview 8 months ago and I wasn't really sure to what to expect. However, I have to admit I have really enjoyed working here and learning more about Buffalo NY Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing and Women's Fitness. We have a great staff, trainers, and members and sometimes it feels more like a family than just a group of people who come together to work out and train.
One of my favorite parts of the job is the way in which my relationship to many of you (the members) has grown. Although we often only engage in brief discussion while you are walking through to door or calling it a night and taking off, you all never cease to amaze me with the facets of your life and i'm always learning something new, and finding new connections with you. It's amazing that the love and passion of mixed martial arts has been able to bring such a dynamic group of people together.
Thus I bring to you our Buffalo NY Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing & Women's Fitness Member Feature! I will be hand-picking a member from the gym each week to sit down and talk with about their experiences. I want to know about how or why you got into this all, how you found us, what your experiences with both MMA and the gym have been like, and I want to talk to you and dig around and find your little quirks and share the things about you that people would be surprised to learn. This will not only help me get to know you better, but it will help all the members learn about each other and connect on other passions that they may not have otherwise known.
I hope you are as excited for my little project as I am and I hope you enjoy my Buffalo NY Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing & Women's Fitness Member Feature!
